Jennifer Junkin
Jennifer advises clients on all aspects of product development focusing on protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights across various technology industries. She has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications. Her counseling expertise includes due diligence, landscape analysis, competitor analysis, freedom-to-operate, design patents, and patentability opinions. She has experience with IP transactions, trademark prosecution, and commercial and IP litigation, including inter partes review (IPR), Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) proceedings, and District Court litigation.
Before joining SSM, Jennifer worked at an Amazon aggregator as their sole patent counsel. She has also worked in BigLaw for ten years before starting her own solo practice. Her clients range from cosmetics to space and DOD defense to fracking and gaming industries. Jennifer was born and raised in New England but hopscotched across the country before landing in the PNW. She coaches her daughter's soccer team, volunteers at the local elementary school, and remains active in the lives of her three kids. She can often be found either running, mountain biking, or building something. EDUCATION
